How to Install IDM Extension to Chrome

IDM is a great download manager, that gives you a lot of amazing features.
From the pause/resume to faster download speeds, it is one of the most popular download managers with more tan 10 million registered users.
In this post I will explain to you how to add the IDM extension to chrome.
Keep in mind that this method works not just for Google Chrome, but also for all chromium-based browsers. These include browsers like Opera, Brave, Edge, Kiwi, Yandex and more.
For this example, I am going to use Brave Browser.
Step 1, open your browser and go to the three bars or dots on the top right side and click extensions. As you can see, I have a bunch of extensions installed. For this tutorial, I am going to remove the IDM extension.
Step 2, turn on developers mode. You can do that by clicking this toggle switch. You can find this option in all the chrome-based browsers, albeit in different formats.
After you have turned on the developer mode, you will see some new options.
Step 3, Go to the folder where your IDM is installed. For me it was C, Program Files x-86, Internet Download Manager.
Step 4, Locate this file. The common identifier is that it should have dot see-are-axe extension.
Step 5, drag this file and drop it into the extensions window in the browser.
After that you will see this popup asking you to confirm the installation, click on Add Extension.
And voila, you have successfully installed the extension.
